Several rankings done in the past reveals that Newark Airport is one of the worst airports in the US, but it seems things may change in the near future.
United Airlines announced it will invest $120 million to upgrade its main terminal at the Newark Airport, and will introduce iPads there to help its frequent flyers.
“From our perspective what we’re looking for, and what we look for in all of our hubs, is something that’s going to be a benefit for our customers — something that’s going to make the time they spend in the airport more productive, more enjoyable, comfortable,” says airline’s spokeswoman Mary Clark in an interview with Bloomberg.
The upgrade will also add 55 dining venues, 10,000 power outlets to help travellers charge their tablets and smartphones, and 6,000 iPads at the terminal. This will help travellers in a variety of ways, providing gadgets to pass their time, dine out and more. The upgrade is expected to complete over the course of next 18 months.
Sounds good isn’t it?
