Earlier today Apple rolled out their latest OS X 10.7.3 update for Mac systems. But after a few hours of use it now looks like the update is causing problems for a number of users. Shortly after its release a number of users started posting on the Apple support forums with problems ranging from nothing working at all, to problems being encountered with the 10.7.3 delta updater is resulting in app crashes.
However most users including myself, who have updated to the new OS X 10.7.3 update have not experienced any strange effects. If you are having problem before you jump to your Time Machine backup, Apple support boards are suggesting using the the to resolve the problem, by installing it whilst in safe mode. hold down “shift” during startup until the desktop or login window appears). Full instructions on how to carry out the fix have been detailed on the TUAW website.
The OS X Lion 10.7.3 update has been created to bring with it support for a range of new languages, which include Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian, as well as a range of bug fixes and performance tweaks.
