Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone has not gone on sale year, the handset is expected to launch some time soon.
Now Canadian mobile carrier Telus has started to take pre-orders on the The Essential Phone and the carrier is offering the handset for CAD 290 up front on a two year contract that cost CAD 95 a month. The handset is also available to buy without a contract for CAD 1050.
The Essential Phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4GB of RAM, the handset also have 128GB of built in storage.
Other specifications on the handset include a 5.7 inch display that has a QHD resolution of 256 x 1440 pixels. The device also features high end cameras, these include an 8 megapixel front facing camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera.
The last thing we heard about the Essential Phone was back in July, when the company said that the handset will ship in a ‘few weeks’, the device is expected to launch before the end of the month.
