We know that the new Sony Xperia Z1s, also known as the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini, is expected to launch some time soon, and now the device has appeared on the Indonesian telecoms regulatory website, Postel, with the model number Sony D5503.
The Sony D5503 is the model number that we previously saw in some leaked photos, so it looks like this new device is the Sony Xperia Z1s.
What we know so far about the handset is that it will share a number of features with the Sony Xperia Z1f, which was launched in Japan recently.
The Sony Xperia Z1s will come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the handset will feature a 4.3 inch high definition display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Under the hood of the Xperia Z1s will be a quad core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm, the device will also feature 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU.
Sony will be packing their flagship camera technology into the smaller Sony Xperia Z1s, and this will include a 2 megapixel Sony Exmor R camera up front for video calls, and a 20 megapixel Sony Exmor RS camera on the back for photo as video.
As yet we do not have any details on when the new smaller Sony Xperia Z1s will launch, as soon as we get some more information, and also some pricing details for the handset we will let you guys know.
