Some owners of Apple’s new iPhone 8 have reported a problem with the handset during a voice call. The issue appears to be a crackling sound in the earpiece during a call.
Apple has now acknowledged the issue which the company has said is affecting a small number of users and a fix is on the way.
Apple said in a statement that the issue only comes up in a “small number” of cases and that the company is working on a software update to fix the problem. “We are aware of the issue which is affecting customers in a small number of cases,” an Apple spokesperson said. “Our team is at work on a fix, which will be included in an upcoming software release.”
So it looks like the problem is a software related one rather than a hardware related one and Apple will be releasing an update to fix the issue.
