Samsung and Apple are currently suing each other, with each part claiming that the other has infringed on their patents for mobile phones and tablets. Last week Samsung were ordered by a court to show Apple their yet to be released smartphones and tablets.
Now it looks like Samsung want to see Apple’s new tablet and smartphone, the iPad 3 and the iPhone 4, as they have filed a motion asking for Apple to hand over the devices to Samsung as part of the discovery.
Samsung have said that the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 will be in the market as the same time their new smartphones and tablets, which they have been asked to hand over to Apple, and they therefore want to prepare for any future legal action.
The difference between the two requests is that Samsung has already announced the tablets and smartphones that they have to hand over to Apple, where as Apple are yet to announce the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3.
It will be interesting to see what the outcome of this motion is, and whether Apple will have to hand over its closely guarded secret devices to Samsung.
