Samsung and Apple have been suing each other opver patents related to their tablests and smartphones, with both companies accussing each other of infringing on the others patents.
Now Apple has been given access to Samsung’s latest smartphones and tablets, in a Federal Court in San Jose, Judge Lucy Koh has ordered Samsung to provide Apple with samples of their latest smartphones and tablets within the next 30 days.
Apple has demonstrated good cause for some, limited expedited discovery,” said Koh. “While Apple has not yet filed a motion for preliminary injunction, courts have found that expedited discovery may be justified to allow a plaintiff to determine whether to seek an early injunction,” said Koh.
The smartphones and tablets that the judge has ordered Samsung to hand over to Apple includes devices which have yet to be released, and include the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Infuse 4G, and 4G LTE or “Droid Charge.”.
