We have been hearing about a foldable smartphone from Samsung for some time, the device is rumored to be called the Samsung Galaxy X. Now a support page for this new folding smartphone has appeared on Samsung’s website.
The handset is listed on Samsung’s support website with the model number SM-G888NO, this is the model number we heard about previously for the Samsung Galaxy X handset. Unfortunately the listing does not provide any new specifications on the device.
Samsung are expected to launch their new Galaxy X smartphone next year, rumors have suggested that the device will be announced in February. This could mean that Samsung will make the handset official at Mobile World Congress 2018 in February. Back in September we heard that the device had been certified in South Korea.
Previous rumors had suggested that the device may not launch until 2019, although it looks like the handset will actually launch next year. We still do not know many details about the handset, other than it will have a foldable display. Samsung are not the first company to launch a device like this, we recently saw the new ZTE Axon M. As soon as we get some more information about the new Galaxy X smartphone from Samsung, including some pictures of the device, we will let you guys know.
