The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus did not support Google’s Daydream VR at launch. That is about to change as the handsets are getting an update to support the platform.
Samsung and Google announced back at Google I/O that Daydream VR would be coming to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
The news was announced on Google+ and a software update which will enable Daydream VR on the two handsets has been released.
Apparently the update is server side rather than an OTA update, so all you need to do is download the Daydream VR app to you Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus.
