Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, and we’ve also seen it getting a brief preview on the Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy S6 users in France are reporting that Android 5.1.1 is now available for the handset. The update doesn’t bring too many interesting changes and focuses more on bug fixing and improving the overall user experience.
The update now give users the ability to sort the apps alphabetically, and brings a new and improved camera interface which lets you adjusts exposure form the viewfinder. The update is sized at a massive 623 MB so make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network before you start downloading the update on your handset. As for the bad part, the RAM consumption issue is still present where the phone uses over half of the available RAM at boot.
The update is rolling out as we speak in France, and should reach other regions in the coming weeks. We’ll update you as soon as it starts rolling out in any other region.
