A new feature has been discovered on Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5, the handset can apparently be used as a baby monitor.
The features was discovered in the accessibility menu for the Samsung Galaxy S5, and the feature uses the microphones on the handset to monitor sounds and can detect when a baby cries.
If the Samsung Galaxy S5 detects a baby crying, it will then send an alert to the Samsung Galaxy smartwatch, in the form of a vibrating alert.
The feature apparently works when the Samsung Galaxy S5 is place in the same room as the baby, around one metre away, it apparently works when there is no background noise.
Whilst it seems like an interesting idea, there could be a few issues, especially if you get regular calls and texts on your smartphone, as this could wake the baby up.
