Samsung are holding a press conference for their Samsung Galaxy Note on the 23rd of August and according to a recent report, the handset may go on sale on the next day, the 24th of August.
According to a thread on Reddit, Samsung plans to start selling their new Galaxy Note 8 handset the day after it is announced in the US.
We have heard various rumors about the specifications on the new Galaxy Note 8. The handset is rumored to come with a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or a Samsung Exynos 8995 processor, the US variant of the handset will feature the Snapdragon processor. The device will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage as standard.
There will also be a choice of 128GB or 256GB storage options and the handset will come with dual rear cameras. Both cameras will have 12 megapixel sensors and one with have a wide angle lens, the other a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, both cameras will feature Optical Image Stabilization.
We had previously thought that the new Galaxy Note 8 would go on sale some time in September, although an August launch would be a good move for Samsung. Rumors have suggested that Samsung are looking to get their new Note 8 in the hands of their customers before the iPhone 8 launch in September.
