We recently saw a video of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 being torture tested and now the handset has been taken apart. The guys from iFixit have performed a teardown on the new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone.
As we saw in the recent torture test video the new Galaxy Note 8 is pretty durable. Of course this does not mean that the handset is easy to repair. When iFixit takes a devices apart they give it a repairability score.
Repairability scores range from 1 to 10, 1 is the hardest to repair and 10 is the easiest to repair. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 only managed to score 4 out of 10, this means that the handset is pretty difficult to repair.
The battery on the handset was glued onto the rear panel, this makes replacing the battery on the Note 8 fairly difficult. All repair on the handset have to b carried out with the rear glass panel remove, this makes it difficult as it is stuck on with a lot of adhesive.
