The Samsung Galaxy A8 has launched in South Korea, the handset is now available with mobile carrier SK Telecom.
The Galaxy A8 has launched with SK Telecom in South Korea today and the handset is available for 649,000 won which is about $560 at the current exchange rate.
The handset comes with a 5.7 inch Full HD display that has a resolution of 1902 x 1080 pixels and processing is provided by an octa core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor from Qualcomm.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy A8 include 2GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of built in storage, the handset also comes with a microSD card slot for expansion.
The device features a 3050 mAh battery and comes with front and rear facing cameras, the front camera is a 5 megapixel version and the rear camera is a 16 megapixel camera.
So far Samsung has launched the handset in China and South Korea, as yet there are no details on when the device may launch in other countries.
