Apple are expected to launch their new iPhone 8 some time in September or possibly October is the delay rumors are correct and now it looks like we have some more details about the iPhone 9.
According to a recent report, Samsung will apparently supply Apple with the processors for the 2018 iPhone, at the moment TSMC is supplying Apple with its mobile processors.
The news comes in a report from the The Investor who have revealed that one of Samsung’s current three CEO’s, Kwon Oh-hyun recently secured the deal with Apple on a recent visit to the company.
Samsung and Apple have been getting along better recently and Samsung are expected to be the main supplier for the OLED displays for this years iPhone 8 and also for next years iPhone 9.
This year Apple will release three new iPhones, one will be the iPhone 8 with an OLED display, the other two are said t be an iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, both of these handsets will come with an LCD display.
2018 is expected to be the year that Apple will switch all of its smartphones to OLED displays and Samsung will be the main supplier of these, so it would make sense for Apple to also use the company to supply processors for the iPhone 9.
