Sony has announced that the PlayStation 3 will get Blu-ray 3D support from October this year. Sony’s CEO Howard Stringer made the announcement at this years IFA in Berlin.
The software update that will bring Blu-ray 3D to the PS3 is ready to go, and Sony will start rolling it out in October, although there is no exact roll out date as yet.
This is bound to boost sales of the PS3, as new models will ship with the updated software from October, just in time for the Christmas sales.
