If you would like to grow your own herbs, chilis or vegetables all year round in your apartment, flat or home you may be interested in the Plantario, developed by a team based in Miami Florida. Plantario offers a fully autonomous smart garden that allows you to grow fresh vegetables and herbs without the need to worry about watering or lighting. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Plantario smart garden design which was an honouree at the recent CES 2018 Innovation Awards.
Plantario has this week launched by a Kickstarter to raise the required $30,000 needed to take the smart garden into production. Pledges are now available from $199 offering a reserve now, pay later scheme. After the Kickstarter campaign is finished you will need to pay the outstanding $500 balance from the $799 price.
The smart Plantari indoor garden comes complete with a convenient companion application which can be installed on your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to check everything is running correctly and minimise the amount of work involved in preparing your fresh herbs, chilis, fruits or vegetables. Plantario has been designed to provide users with a “convenient harvesting appliance to save money, time, and reduce your ecological footprint while adding a nice stylistic touch to your home decor” say it’s developers.
