Over the past few weeks, the folks at OnePlus have revealed a handful of details about their upcoming handset, the OnePlus 2.
Recently, the company held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit where the employees revealed a few more details about the upcoming OnePlus 2 with the most important thing being the battery capacity — it will boast a massive 3,300 mAh battery.
That’s a definite improvement over its predecessor which shipped with a 3,100 mAh unit. As for other details, OnePlus has already confirmed that the handset will see the light of the day on July 27th, along with some of specifications of the handset as well.
The company further revealed at the AMA that OnePlus 2 will be small enough to fit under a OnePlus One, and that camera is one of the high priorities for the handset.
The OnePlus 2 will come with a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, USB Type-C, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a fingerprint sensor as an added security measure. Furthermore, the handset will again be a cheaper flagship alternative, costing less than $450 when it launches later this month.
Unfortunately, it’s likely the company will stick with the invite-based system for the OnePlus 2 as well. We’ll update you as soon as the handset is officially unveiled later this month.
