Nokia Lumia 800 went on sale a number of users reported problems with the smartphone’s battery, as well as some other problems with the device’s camera.
Nokia apparently addressed the issue, in a couple of software updates which were released, although it would appear a new firmware for the Lumia 800 has been leaked which comes with some more tweaks to improve the handset’s battery life.
Battery Life Improvements
Battery life has always been a critical aspect of smartphone performance, and the Nokia Lumia 800 was no exception. Users initially reported that the battery drained quickly, which was a significant concern for those who rely on their phones throughout the day. Nokia responded to these complaints by releasing a couple of software updates aimed at addressing the battery issues. These updates provided some relief, but it seems that Nokia has not stopped there. The newly leaked firmware includes additional tweaks designed to further enhance battery performance. These improvements are expected to extend the battery life, making the Lumia 800 more reliable for daily use.
Camera Enhancements
Along with the improved battery tweaks, the leaked firmware also has some fixes for the Lumia 800’s camera, along with some new camera modes which include Smart group shot, Panorama, Action, and Self Timer modes. The initial camera issues included problems with focus and image quality, which were frustrating for users who wanted to capture high-quality photos. The new firmware aims to resolve these issues, providing a more seamless and enjoyable photography experience.
The addition of new camera modes is particularly exciting. The Smart group shot mode allows users to take multiple photos in quick succession and then choose the best one, ensuring that everyone in the group looks their best. The Panorama mode enables users to capture wide-angle shots, perfect for landscapes and large group photos. The Action mode is designed for capturing fast-moving subjects, making it ideal for sports and other dynamic activities. Finally, the Self Timer mode allows users to set a timer before the photo is taken, giving them time to get into position.
These enhancements make the Lumia 800 a more versatile and powerful camera phone, capable of meeting the needs of a wide range of users.
There are no details as yet on when Nokia will release this new firmware for the Lumia 800. As soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
