Mercedes Benz announced a number of new vehicles at the Detroit Motor Show, one of them is the new Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+.
The Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ comes with a 3.0 litre 6 cylinder in line engine with a turbo and an electric auxiliary compressor. This combination not only enhances the car’s performance but also improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional engines.
Performance and Power
The car comes with 425 horsepower, and the EQ Boost feature gives it an extra 22 horsepower, bringing the total to an impressive 447 horsepower. It also boasts 520 Nm of torque, which ensures rapid acceleration and a dynamic driving experience. The EQ Boost is a mild hybrid system that not only adds extra power but also assists in energy recuperation, providing a seamless and efficient driving experience.
This gives the new AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) and a 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) time of just 4.5 seconds. This level of performance places the CLS 53 in the upper echelon of luxury sports sedans, competing with other high-performance models from brands like BMW and Audi.
