Two Versions: V30 and V30 Plus
There will be two versions of the handset: a V30 and a V30 Plus. The differences between the two devices will be storage, wireless charging, and audio systems. The V30 will have 64GB of storage and the V30 Plus will come with 128GB of storage. This differentiation in storage options allows users to choose a model that best fits their needs, whether they require more space for apps, photos, and videos or are content with a smaller storage capacity.
In addition to storage, the V30 Plus is expected to feature enhanced audio capabilities, possibly including a higher quality DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) for superior sound quality. This would make the V30 Plus an attractive option for audiophiles and those who prioritize audio performance in their smartphones. Wireless charging is another feature that will set the V30 Plus apart from the standard V30, offering added convenience for users who prefer cable-free charging solutions.
Design and Features
The leaked renders reveal a sleek and modern design for the LG V30, with a focus on minimal bezels and a large display. The handset appears to have a glass back, which not only adds to its premium look but also facilitates wireless charging. The dual-camera setup on the back is positioned horizontally, and the fingerprint sensor is conveniently located just below the cameras for easy access.
The V30 is expected to feature a 6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, providing vibrant colors and sharp details. This makes it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The OLED technology also ensures deeper blacks and better contrast compared to traditional LCD screens.
Under the hood, the V30 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM. This combination should deliver smooth performance and efficient multitasking capabilities. The handset is also expected to run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, with an update to Android 8.0 Oreo likely to follow.
LG will make these two new smartphones official at their IFA press event on the 31st of August 2017. As soon as we get some more details about the handsets, we will let you guys know. The anticipation for the LG V30 and V30 Plus is building, and it will be interesting to see how these devices stack up against the competition in the high-end smartphone market.
