It was thought the at MSI’s new Windpad Windows 7 tablet had been put on on hold, while MSI concentrated on its Android tablets. New information and prototype released by MSI now suggests that this wasn’t the case and the new MSI WindPad U100W Windows 7 could now make an appearance at CES 2011. Watch the video after the jump to see the MSI Windpad U100W prototype in action.
The 10 inch tablet is equipped with Intel’s Atom Silverthorne Z530 processor, to help keep the tablet fan less yet provide as much power as possible together with a 32GB SSD.
Unfortunately though the current system doesn’t win over the user in the video and this is probably due to the use of the old Z530 chip design rather than Intel’s newer models. However the clear display and responsive accelerometer do help to keep the project interesting.
