Morphie, the popular accessory maker, has started taking pre-orders of a 3,000 mAh battery case for the Samsung Galaxy S5. The case doesn’t only provide users with an additional battery time, but also protects it against the daily wear and tear.
Morphie’s 3,000 mAh juice pack comes with a hefty $99.95 price tag, with pre-orders expected to ship from September 8th.
Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 2,800 mAh battery on board, with an Ultra Power Saver mode for extended battery timing. Despite a bigger battery compared to its predecessor, the device’s battery time on a moderate usage is not high, but with Morphie’s juice back can double its battery time since it features a bigger 3,000 mAh battery on board.
The case comes in black and white color options, and features LED lights on the back to let users know about the remaining battery of the case. There’s a toggle button to which can be used to kick off the charging process. The case also comes with pass-through charging feature, meaning you don’t have to remove the case to charge it or when you want to sync you handset. When connected, it will charge the device and will even indicate the remaining battery in the case.
