If you are considering purchasing a new next-generation Microsoft Xbox One games console and thought you would be able to use the built-in Blu-ray player to view your 3D Blu-ray discs. You might be a little disappointed to learn that Microsoft’s Xbox One games console will not support 3D Blu-ray discs at launch.
Unlike Sony’s PlayStation 4 games console which will support 3D Blu-ray discs when it launches later this month allowing you to enjoy 3D games. Sony has yet to confirm that the new PlayStation 4 will also support 3D Blu-ray movies in a similar way to their current PlayStation 3 console does.
Both next-generation consoles will be launching later this month and it will be interesting to see which one emerges as the champion of the holiday season.
The Xbox One games console launches on November 22nd 2013 and is priced at $499.99 in the US, £429.99 in the UK and 499.99 Euros throughout Europe and $599.99 AU in Australia. The new next generation PlayStation 4 console will be launching on November 15th 2013 in the US and slightly later throughout Europe on November 29th 2013. The Sony PlayStation 4 console is priced at $399, €399, and £349 depending on your location.
