We have been hearing rumors about a Microsoft Surface Phone for some time and now according to a recent report the device is launching in 2017.
According to Windows Central we will see the first Microsoft Surface Phone next year and there will apparently be three versions of the handset.
The three versions of Microsoft’s new Surface Phone will apparently be aimed at different pricing tiers and also markets.
What is also interesting from the report is that it would appear that Microsoft is phasing out their Lumia range of handsets, the company acquired the Lumia brand when it purchased Nokia’s smartphone and mobile phone division.
So it looks like the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and the Lumia 650 could end up being the last Lumia Windows Phone devices from Microsoft.
Apparently there are no plans for any more Lumia devices this year, so this could mean that we will not see any new mobile phones from Microsoft until 2017 and these will be their new Surface Phone range.
As yet there are no details on what sort of specifications Microsoft’s new Surface range of handsets will come with, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
