We were expecting the LG G5 to be the company’s flagship smartphone in 2016, although LG have now revealed that they will release two new flagship smartphones this year.
LG just announced its latest quarterly earnings figures, the company sold 58.7 million smartphones last year and they revealed details on this years plans.
We will see two new flagship handsets from LG in 2016, one will be the new LG G5, as yet there are no details on what the other device will be. The company also revealed that this will also release a range of budget and competitive devices in 2016.
The new LG G5 is expected to be announced at LG’s Mobile Word Congress press event on the 21st of February, the handset will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it is also expected to features 4GB of RAM.
Other rumored specifications in the device include a 5.6 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the handset will also come with 64GB of storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
The new flagship smartphone from LG will also get updated cameras, on the back of the handset there will be a 20 megapixel camera with a 1/2 inch sensor and up front there will be an 8 megapixel camera.
