Major Nelson has today announced the release of the July Xbox One update that is now available to download and install on Xbox One consoles worldwide.
Although there are no user-facing features included in the latest update, it brings with it a number of new behind-the-scenes enhancements preparing the consoles for the imminent release of Windows 10.
Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating system will be launching on July 29th and the latest Xbox One update adds support for game streaming to Windows 10. As well as the up-and-coming Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature that was unveiled during E3 last month. Enabling gamers to enjoy a selection of Xbox 360 that are playable on the Xbox One
The latest Xbox One update also brings updates focusing on the New Xbox One Experience that will be available later this year. That includes a brand new Home, Cortana integration, a new quick-menu system as well as a new Community section to name just a few features.
