We have already seen some videos of the iPhone 6 sapphire display being tested for durability, the display performed well against a knife and some keys and also a hammer, and now we have another video.
In the latest video from Marques Brownlee, we see the iPhone 6 sapphire display go up against sandpaper, the video also shows the same test being performed on the current Gorilla Glass on the iPhone 5S display.
As you can see from the video, the iPhone 6 display is much more scratch resistant than the current Gorilla Glass of the iPhone 5S. What is interesting is it looks like the iPhone 6 sapphire display is made from a combination of sapphire glass, and the display is not pure sapphire, as this would be expensive.
We are looking forward to finding out exactly what the iPhone 6 sapphire display is made of and how it is constructed, the handset is expected to launch in September.
Apple are rumored to launch two models of the new iPhone, one with a 4.7 inch display, the other with a 5.5 inch display, the handset will come with an new 64-bit Apple A8 processor and more RAM than the current model.
We are expecting the iPhone 6 to go on sale in September, the handset is rumored to be made official on the 9th of September and is expected to hit the stores around the 19th of September.
