We have been hearing a number of rumors about the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5, and the latest one comes from Digitimes, who are reporting that the iPhone 5 will feature a curved glass display.
According to the report, Apple has invested in come glass cutting machines, which would be needed to produce a curved glass display for the new iPhone 5.
The glass slicing machines are currently being stored at associated assembly plants and will be brought online once yield rates for the production of curved glass reaches a satisfactory level, the sources revealed.
There are no details on how this possible new display for the iPhone 5 might look, and we still don’t have any information on when Apple will announce the fifth generation iPhone, it could either be next month at the WWDC or it could be later in the year according to a number of reports.
