Huawei is expected to launch the Honor 7 smartphone in China on June 30th. The company posted the teaser of the event hinting at the launch of the new Honor handset which will also feature a fingerprint sensor as well.
In case you can’t recall, we’ve seen the handset getting leaked in the past as well in a benchmarking website, revealing some of the specifications of the alleged device.
Design and Display
The Huawei Honor 7 smartphone is said to come with a metal design, which not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also provides durability. The device will feature a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. This Full HD resolution ensures that users will enjoy crisp and clear visuals, making it ideal for watching videos, playing games, and browsing the web. The metal design is expected to give the phone a premium feel, which is often sought after in the competitive smartphone market.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the Honor 7 is powered by an in-house Kirin 935 octa-core processor. This chipset is designed to deliver robust performance, ensuring that the device can handle multitasking and demanding applications with ease. The Kirin 935 is known for its efficiency and speed, making it a suitable choice for a flagship device.
The smartphone will also feature a 13MP camera for photos and videos, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS). OIS is a significant feature as it helps in reducing blur in photos and videos caused by shaky hands, ensuring that users can capture clear and sharp images even in less-than-ideal conditions. Additionally, the device will be powered by a 3,280 mAh battery, which should provide ample battery life to get through a full day of usage without needing a recharge.
The Honor 7 will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop as its operating system. Although Android has since moved on to newer versions, Lollipop was known for its smooth performance and user-friendly interface. It also brought several enhancements and features that improved the overall user experience.
Variants and Storage
The Honor 7 is expected to come in two variants to cater to different user needs. The standard version of the handset is expected to come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. This configuration should be sufficient for average users who do not require extensive storage for apps and media.
On the other hand, the premium version will feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This variant is aimed at power users who need more RAM for multitasking and additional storage for apps, games, photos, and videos. The increased RAM and storage will ensure that the device remains responsive and can handle more intensive tasks without lag.
Additional Features and Pricing
One of the standout features of the Honor 7 is its fingerprint sensor. This feature adds an extra layer of security, allowing users to unlock their device quickly and securely. Fingerprint sensors have become a standard feature in modern smartphones, and their inclusion in the Honor 7 ensures that it stays competitive in the market.
As for the pricing, there’s no word about the exact cost of the Honor 7 yet. However, Huawei has a history of offering competitive pricing for its devices, so it is expected that the Honor 7 will be priced attractively to appeal to a wide range of consumers. We’ll update you as soon as the company announces the handset.
The Huawei Honor 7 appears to be a promising device with its metal design, powerful hardware, and useful features like the fingerprint sensor and optical image stabilization. It is set to make a significant impact in the smartphone market upon its release.
