After unveiling the hardware specifications for the new HP Chromebox in the middle of last month, HP have this week made the new mini HP Chromebox available to purchase with prices starting from $179.
To recap the HP Chromebox mini PC system measures just 5 x 4.9 x 1.5 inches in size and the entry level model is powered by a 1.4 GHz Intel Celeron 2955U dual-core processor supported by options to install between 2GB and 8GB of RAM.
Upgrade options for the HP Chromebox allows you to install a 2.1GHz Intel Core i7 4600U with 8GB of Ram for $659 and the small system is also capable of supporting two different monitors simultaneously using the included DisplayPort and HDMi port.
Other features of the new HP Chromebox include an SDXC card reader, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, 4 x USB 3.0 ports as well as microphone and headset 3.5mm jacks.
