Whilst most people are still waiting for the Android smartphone to be updated to the current Android 2.1 OS, it seems like Google may be testing out a new version of Android codenamed Froyo or Android 2.2.
The guys over at Android and Me have been doing some digging around in their analytics reports and it seems like Google has begun testing Android 2.2.
Although none of the features for the next version of Android have been confirmed some of the rumored features in Android 2.2 include, Flash 10.1 support, OpenGL ES 2.0 enhancements, and fixes to some of the touchscreen errors.
As yet there is no exact release date for Android 2.2, although it is quite possible that Google may announce it at their Google I/O developer event in San Francisco on May 19th and May 20th 2010.
