Google has released its Android security bulletin for December and they have revealed that the December security patch will be rolled out to their Pixel devices from tomorrow. The new December security patch will fix a number of vulnerabilities in Google’s Android OS.
The main one if a fix for the Krack WiFi security flaw which could allow hackers access to your devices over WiFi. Google has released the factory images for their Pixel and Nexus devices, these can be found here.
“The Android Security Bulletin contains details of security vulnerabilities affecting Android devices. Security patch levels of 2017-12-05 or later address all of these issues. To learn how to check a device’s security patch level, see Check & update your Android version.
Android partners are notified of all issues at least a month before publication. Source code patches for these issues will be released to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository in the next 48 hours. We will revise this bulletin with the AOSP links when they are available.”
