Garmin has added a new watch to their range of wrist ware this week in the form of the new Garmin D2 Pilot Watch, which is fitted with an altimeter and adjustable baro settings and compass.
The Garmin D2 Pilot watch has been designed specifically for pilots and displays multiple time zones with Zulu/UTC reference as well as various timers and vibrating alerts for inflight checks and notifications.
The Garmin D2 Pilot watch has also been designed to wirelessly receives flight plans from Garmin Pilot and controls VIRB and is fitted with direct-to and Nearest buttons that utilise a worldwide airport database directly from your wrist. Allowing pilots to fly straight to the airport/waypoint of choice or even find the nearest airport in an emergency.
Garmin has made it easy for you to build flight plans and create waypoints within the Garmin Pilot app on your compatible Bluetooth supported device and then upload them to Garmin D2 Pilot. Allowing you to then navigate from waypoint-to-waypoint using just a few button presses on the watch.
