Anyone looking for a portable monitor might be interested in a new series of instructional videos that have been published over on the Instructables website showing how to easily create your very own DIY portable monitor.
The 1280×800 resolution portable monitor screen was purchased for around $68 and together with a few other components provides a great portable way of using your Raspberry Pi on the go.
The monitor is connected to 12v rechargeable batteries that are connected using a TP4056 Single Cell Charger together with a XL6009 Boost Converter and 2x 18650 2800mAh Li-Ion batteries.
The portable monitor can be used for almost anything and can be connected to a DSLR camera as a viewing screen, mini PCs, desktop PC and even game consoles. Its creator Instructables user GreatScottLab explains :
