Cat owners will already know that the traditional cat bell simply just don’t work, and cats are capable of adapting their hunting style to keep the bell silent before a pounce. Our cat wears two bells to try and save the small creatures that live around our property from being brought into the house as presents for the family, but to no avail. Now one company based in London is hoping to stop this age old problem and has created a next-generation cat bell called Digibell. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about this new digital cat bell.
Digibell has this week been launched by Kickstarter and is now available to back with pledges starting from as little as £11. With worldwide shipping expected to take place during July 2018 if the Kickstarter campaign is successful and raises the required £5,750 needed to take the design into production.
Digibell is available in a selection of colours and includes an ultra-low-power design that has multiple sensitivity levels and selectable alarm sounds, that can be muted with a single press. Digibell combines both an audible alert system and optional visual alert system when extra prey protection is required. Powered by a standard and easily available CR1632 battery the Digibell has been designed to fit any cat collar and has a screw less design allowing easy access for battery replacement when required.
