Jean-Marc Gueney Game Designer at developer Cyanide has taken to the official PlayStation blog this week to reveal more details about a new PlayStation 4 game currently under development in the form of, Call of Cthulhu.
Check out the official Winter trailer below to learn more about what you can expect from the game’s storyline when it launches on the PlayStation platform sometime during 2017.
You’ll notice a lot of hallmark Lovecraftian themes in this trailer, which was created to convey the mood we’re aiming for in the story. The idea that you’re never quite sure if what you’re seeing is real, or a symptom of madness — or both!
A Private Detective, Edward Pierce is a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island. Pierce is used to trusting his instincts, but with whale mutilations and disappearing bodies, this is only the beginning as reality becomes skewed.
As your investigation leads you closer to the sphere of influence of the Great Dreamer, you will start to doubt everything you see. You will have to find balance between your own sanity, and your determination in finding out what lurks in the shadows – as they say that madness is the only way that can bring you to the truth.
On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening…
As soon as a confirmed release date is announced by Cyanide we will keep you up-to-date as always.
