The Sprout is a colorful wrist accessory that does nature a favor by decomposing when buried and/or disposed of. The strap is made of cotton and the bamboo/mineral parts combination of the watch itself won’t last ages. Dig this: the box it comes from includes a mini grass garden. Not sure if its edible though. You really shouldn’t try what you’re thinking.
Judging by color scheme and size, the Sprout is best suited for females. Though ardent metrosexuals can don it as well. No problem with that. The exact materials of the Sprout are cotton, corn resin, bamboo, and a mineral lens.
We don’t mind wearing it ourselves, though. But if we had our way, we’d like the Sprout to come in a different color scheme as the clash of blue and pink rubs against an ingrained masculinity. Maybe a red strap would have done well. Surprise, surprise, what’s pictured above is a single variant of the Sprout series that has watch lines designed for both men and women.
Discussions of masculinity aside, the Sprout would do well as a gift to lady friends and kids who want a decent time piece that could be thrown away after it’s outlived its stylishness.
The Sprout is currently selling for $34.
