Today Bang & Olufsen has launched their very first Smart TV in the form of the new BeoVision 11, which is available in three sizes starting at 40 inches, with 46 and 55 inch versions also available.
All three Bang & Olufsen Smart TV models provide full high definition 1080p resolution, and offer applications for owners to access to Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Together with additional applications providing content from country specific providers and of course a web browser providing full Internet access.
The new Smart TVs have also been designed to be used in conjunction with Bang & Olufsen’s BeoRemote app, that enables owners to transform that iPad or Android tablets into a trackpad keyboard.
The new Smart TV’s are equipped with six HDMI ports, Ethernet, and 2 x USB ports which can be used to connect external HDDs for media playback. Within Europe, the BeoVision 11 will support the HbbTV standard, for EPGs, catch-up TV, interactive advertising, personalisation, voting, gaming, and social networking, however exact service supplied will depend on the provider.
The BeoVision 11 is available starts at €5,995 or $7,748 for the 40-inch model, and can be used with a motorised floor stand.
