Apple is rumored to be launching a smaller iPhone 6C at a press event in March, the handset will come with a 4 inch display and we had previously heard that it would feature an A8 processor.
Now it would appear that Apple will use their latest processor in the new iPhone 6C, the Apple A9, the handset will apparently replace the iPhone 5S.
The news that Apple will use their A9 processor in the smaller iPhone comes in a report from 9 to 5 Mac, Apple will apparently use their latest processor as they will be releasing the iPhone 7 later this year with the new A10 processor, so they would not want this new 4 inch iPhone to be two processors behind the new iPhone 7.
This will also bring other benefits to the device, it will come with the always on Siri feature, the handset is expected to be offered in the same colors as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
The device will apparently come in two storage options, one with 16GB or RAM the other with 64GB of RAM.
It is not clear as yet on what the exact name of the device will be, there are rumors that it will either be called the iPhone 6C or iPhone 5se.
