Last week we heard that Apple had purchased Beats Audio in a deal which was worth $3.2 billion, and whilst Apple has yet to confirm the deal, Dr Dre, one of the two co-founders of Beat Audio all but confirmed the purchase in an online video.
This lead many people to believe that the deal between the two companies had been completed, although according to a recent report by re/code, the deal isn’t finalized and wont be completed until next week.
Apple’s planned deal to buy Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion may not be finalized until next week, according to people familiar with the transaction. That’s a longer timetable than some people expected as recently as a few days ago.
So it looks like we may have to wait until next week to get some sort of official announcement on the deal from Apple. The company is expected to announce that Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine will be joining Apple at WWDC 2014 next month.
