When Andy Rubin announced his new Essential Phone the handset was going to ship in June. We are now almost at the end of July and the handset has not shipped.
Now we have more information on when the handset will be released. Andy Rubin has announced on Twitter that the handset will ship in a ‘few weeks’, you can see the tweet below.

So it looks like the new Essential Phone will be shipping some time in August. The handset comes with a 5.7 inch display that has a QHD resolution of 256 x 1440 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM.
The Essential Phone will feature 128GB of storage and it will come with high end cameras on the front and back. On the back of the handset there will be a 13 megapixel camera for photos and videos.Up front there will be an 8 megapixel camera for Selfies and video calls.
We are really looking forward to find out more details about the new Essential Phone, it will be interesting to see if this new Android smartphone becomes popular.
