Acer has this week unveiled a new addition to its range of TravelMate notebooks, which are predominantly designed for business or educational markets. The latest addition to the range takes the form of the Acer TravelMate Spin B1 convertible notebook which will be available to purchase during Q2 2017.
The TravelMate Spin B1 is equipped with an 11.6 inch display and comes pre-installed with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Pro operating system and equipped with a rugged outer casing that has been built to withstand drops, knocks and spills says Acer.

Featuring a stylus supporting Windows Ink, students can intuitively jot down notes, edit Microsoft Word documents, interact with apps and draw. Students can access Microsoft OneNote directly and quickly from the locked screen with a simple click of the stylus. What’s more, interactions between students and teachers are also more intuitive with Acer TeachSmart software. The software’s interface works in conjunction with embedded multi-colored LED lights on each student’s notebook cover to allow them to easily communicate with the teacher, get class materials, take quizzes, and even request bathroom breaks.
Students can stay connected to their school network with fast dual-band 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac wireless connectivity. The device connects easily to peripherals via Bluetooth 4.0, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port and one HDMI port. Students can plug in their headphones with the 3.5mm head phone jack, while files can be easily shared with the built-in SD card reader.
Connectivity on the new convertible notebook is provided by support for Bluetooth 4.0 and the wireless 802.11ac standard. Other ports include HDMI port, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB 2.0 ports together with a handy SD card reader and 3.5mm headphone jack.
