OnePlus recently announced that they would be launching their 5G OnePlus 7 smartphone in Europe with mobile carrier EE.
The handset will be one of the first devices to come with 5G and also Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor.
Now OnePlus CEO Peter Lau has revealed that the new OnePlus 7 could actually end up costing between $200 and $300 more than the current device.
“It’s hard to know because there’s a lot of specifics still to look at, but it’s likely in the neighborhood of $200-300 more,” Lau says, via translator.
Lots of companies will be launching 5G smartphones in 2019 and as the technology is new we can expect these handsets to cost more than 4G devices. One company who is not launching a 5G smartphone next year is Apple, they are epxected to launch their device in 2020.
