We recently heard some details about next years iPhone X, Apple are rumored to be launching two new OLED iPhones next year. One will apparently be the same size as this years iPhone X, the other will be a larger device like the iPhone 8 Plus.
The design of next years iPhones are said to be similar to this years X, although Apple will apparently make some small design changes to the handset. According to a recent report, all of next years iPhones will come with a new antenna design that will provide improved LTE speeds on the handsets.
The news comes from well know Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, who has said that all of next years iPhones will have at least two LCP LTE antenna modules. This is something that is present in the X, but next years devices will also get improvements to support 4×4 MIMO standards.
Antenna design upgrade a key factor in anticipated boost to LTE transmission speed in new 2H18F iPhone models. As a LTE antenna FPCB material, LCP is superior to PI in properties related to high-frequency, thermal performance and moisture resistance. We predict 2H18 new iPhones will be equipped with two LCP LTE antenna modules same as iPhone X or more, but with higher specs to support 4×4 MIMO standards.
Apple are expected to switch most of next years iPhones to OLED, so far we know there will be a new iPhone X with a 5.8 inch display and possibly an X Plus with a 6.5 inch display. There are also rumors of an LCD iPhone for a lower price.
