Aiptek PenCam Trio HD

This looks like it might be one of the smallest pockets camcorders we have seen here on Geeky Gadgets, the Aiptek PenCam Trio HD.

The Aiptek PenCam Trio HD may look small from the photos but it has a host of features, including being able to record HD video in 720p at 30fps, it also features a built in 1.1 inch OLED screen, it looks more like a spy gadget than a pocket camcorder.

HTC Touch HD2 Coming with Google Android

It looks like HTC is about to add another smartphone to their range with the launch of the HTC Touch HD2.

The Touch HD2 will be the successor to the popular HTC Touch HD, but the main difference between the existing Touch HD and the new model is that the new version will run Google Android as its OS.

Samsung ST45 Compact Digital Camera

Samsung has added a new compact digital camera to its range with the launch of the Samsung ST45.

The Samsung ST45 is ultra thin, measuring just 0.63 inches at its thickest point, although it is slim it doesn’t skimp on features, with a 2.7 inch QVGA LCD screen, a 12.2 megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom and ISO 3,200 sensitivity.

Asus Eee Dual Screen e-Book Reader

The Asus Eee Dual Screen e-Book Reader which was showcased as a concept at CeBIT last March may be available later this year according to the Times Online. According to Jerry Shen the president of Asus the Asus Eee Dual Screen e-Book reader will be the world’s cheapest e-book reader although there will also be a premium model with high-end features, along the lines of integrated 3G capability.

Frankencamera Open Source Linux Digital Camera

Scientists at Standford University have created the worlds first open source camera, the Frankencamera, it was created by professor Marc Levoy and graduate researcher Andrew Adams.

The Frankencamera is made from a Texas Instruments ’system on a chip’ motherboard running Linux, a Nokia N95 mobile phone camera module and some lenses from Canon.

Google Android Market 1.6 Announced

Google has announced that it will be updating its Android Market, with a new version 1.6 which will bring a host of new features and make it more user friendly for Android users.

Google Android Market 1.6 will offer more information to users about each applications, including screen shots of apps, longer descriptions, and new categories will be added including ‘Top Paid’ and ‘Top Free’ apps.

Samsung N130 and N140 Netbooks

Samsung has updated it netbook range with the launch of a couple of new models, the Samsung N130 and N140, which feature a 10.1 inch LCD display.

Both of these new netbooks comes with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz Atom processor, and Intel GMA 950 graphics, plus 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive.

Toshiba JournE Touch

Whilst most of us are waiting for Apple to launch their much rumored Tablet, it looks like other manufacturers are getting in on the game, Toshiba has just announced  a new multimedia tablet, the JournE Touch.

The Toshiba JournE Touch features a 7 inch touchscreen display, built in 802.11 b/g WiFi, and built in features like YouTube, an RSS Readers, built in MSN Messenger, a photo viewer, and support for sites like Flickr and Picassa.

Sony Xperia Pureness

As well as launching the new Xperia X2, Sony has added another mobile to their Xperia range with the launch of the Sony Xperia Pureness, which is touted as a ‘Fashion Phone’.

Sony have only given us a glimpse of the Xperia Purness, and intend to provide full details of it at an official launch in November, although Sony has revealed that the Xperia Pureness is a simple phone which is designed for ‘talk, text, time’.

AT&T iPhone Users Getting MMS 25th September

AT&T has officially announced the date that it will bring multimedia messaging (MMS) to its iPhone customers as the 25th of September, which is great news for iPhone owners on AT&T who have been waiting for this feature to appear.

IT has been available in other countries since the iPhone 3.0 OS update, and AT&T have taken their time to roll it out to their customers.

The CyberPower Lan Mini H20 PC measures 11.25 inches long, by 8.75 inches wide, by 7 inches tall, and it weighs 10lbs, it is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad processor along with a choice of graphics cards from both ATI and NVIDIA.

Sprint Announces The HTC Hero

Sprint has just announced their first Google Android mobile phone, the HTC Hero, and as you can see from the photo below, the Sprint version of the HTC Hero has had a bit of a re-design.

From October the 11th, the HTC Hero will be available on Sprint, for $179.99 with a two year contract after rebate, and this will be on a unlimited data plan which will cost $69.99.
