Xiaomi appears to have successful run with its devices. It all started with the Xiaomi Mi3, and now the budget-friendly Redmi 1S. The company has held successful flash sales for its Xiaomi Redmi 1S, which sold out in mere seconds.
If you didn’t get lucky enough to order the Redmi 1s, the company announced its going to sell 60,000 units of the handset on September 23rd starting at 2 p.m. As always, you have to make sure you pre-register for the handset, and be ready to click on the buy button as soon as your clock reaches the launch time.
This time, the company is pitching in 20,000 extra units — previous sales had 40,000 units — so more users can get their hands on the device. It will still be interesting to see how many will end up with empty hands.
Xiaomi Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7-inch 720p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Other features include 8GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 8MP camera for photos and videos, a 1.6MP front-facing camera, a 2,000 mAh battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as its operating system.
Once again, we’ll remind you to pre-register on the company’s website ahead of the launch if you really intend to score a Redmi 1S unit.
