Unfortunately when the highly anticipated Wolfenstein Youngblood game launches on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC systems in a few days time on July 26th, 2019, no support for NVIDIA’s new ray tracing technology will be available. However all is not lost as NVIDIA engineers are working hard to roll out the ray tracing support as soon as possible.
The news was revealed earlier this week during interview Executive Producer Jerk Gustafsson from developer MachineGames on the GamesBeat website. “We’re working together with Nvidia on that, but raytracing won’t be available at launch. The engineers at Nvidia are still hard at work getting that solution to look as good as possible for the game, and the date is still to be determined. But from what we’ve seen so far, it’ll be good.”
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a co-op shooter set in 1980s Paris. There you fight the Nazis as one of BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters, Jess or Soph.
“Team up with a friend or play alone. Level up, explore, and complete missions to unlock new abilities, weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and more to complement your playstyle and customize your appearance. Wolfenstein: Youngblood features the most open-ended Wolfenstein experience to date. From a new base of operations located deep in the heart of the Paris catacombs, plan how and when to attack and dismantle the Nazi regime.”
