Smart watches and fitness trackers are becoming more popular, although Withings has announced something slightly different, the Withings Activite, which combines a traditional Swiss watch with a fitness tracker.
The Withings Activite was designed by French designers, and it is made by Swiss watchmakers, it is constructed using premium materials which include 316L stainless steel, and it features a sapphire crystal, and it features a leather strap, it will be available in two colors, black and silver.
Hidden inside this stylish Swiss watch is a tracker and an advanced accelerometer, it can detect your movement, when you walk, run or swim, and can calculate you activities, including distance and calories burned.
The Withings Activite is also capable of monitoring your sleep patterns, and it also comes with a built in alarm clock that will vibrate to wake you up.
Inside the new Activite is a ‘Connected Movement’, which is certified for long term accuracy and procession, and it can connect to your iOS devices with Bluetooth LE.
It will work with the Withings Health Mate app, this app can be used to develop personal activity plans, and can also monitor your progress, share your results and more.
This new Swiss watch with built in activity tracker will launch in August, it will be available worldwide and will retail for £320 in the UK and $390 in the U.S., you can find out more information at the link below.
