Windows Phone 8: A New Era for Smartphones
Windows Phone 8 represents a significant step forward for Microsoft’s mobile operating system. The new OS is expected to bring a host of new features and improvements over its predecessor, Windows Phone 7. One of the most anticipated features is the new Start screen, which offers more customization options and a more dynamic interface. Users will be able to resize live tiles to better suit their needs, providing a more personalized experience.
Another key feature of Windows Phone 8 is its deep integration with Windows 8, allowing for a more seamless experience across devices. This integration includes shared core components, which means that apps developed for Windows 8 can be easily ported to Windows Phone 8, and vice versa. This is expected to significantly boost the app ecosystem for Windows Phone 8, making it a more attractive option for both developers and users.
Exciting New Devices
The HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920 are two of the most highly anticipated devices set to launch with Windows Phone 8. The HTC 8X features a sleek design, a 4.3-inch HD display, and an 8-megapixel camera. It also includes Beats Audio technology for an enhanced audio experience, making it a great choice for music lovers.
The Nokia Lumia 920, on the other hand, boasts a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display, which is said to be one of the best smartphone displays on the market. It also features Nokia’s PureView camera technology, which promises to deliver stunning photos even in low-light conditions. Additionally, the Lumia 920 includes wireless charging capabilities, a feature that sets it apart from many of its competitors.
Windows 8 tablets, such as the Samsung Ativ Smart PC and the Asus Vivo Tab RT, are also generating a lot of buzz. The Samsung Ativ Smart PC features an 11.6-inch display and runs on an Intel Atom processor, making it a versatile device for both work and play. The Asus Vivo Tab RT, on the other hand, is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and features a 10.1-inch display, making it a great option for those who want a powerful yet portable device.
